Vandalism has hit Ball Cemetery hard. Due to its isolation rumors have been circulated about hauntings and wierd events. This is ridiculous; it's just a family cemetery that deserves to be left alone. 

This marker, which was sitting outside the gate when I visited, is particularly poignant. It says "Father Rest" on it, yet this person's grave has been disturbed. What Ball Cemetery needs is a community effort to repair and refurbish the gravestones.  I did hear from someone associated with the cemetery in 2017 and they said a lot of the damage in the photos here has been corrected.
