As in many other pioneer cemeteries, you see a lot of markers for children. It's a sad refrain you get used to, but it's no less difficult to look at. I find some of these markers to be more creepy than comforting, though I'm sure they had a different effect at the dawn of the 20th century. The marker at the bottom of this page has an inscription that is short but not sweet.
