The Independent Order of Odd Fellows has organizations in many cities, states and countries around the world. They must have had a plot for their area members at Graceland. Their website states that they were named the Odd Fellows because "it was odd to find people organized for the purpose of giving aid to those in need and of pursuing projects for the benefit of all mankind."

What I remember most about the Odd Fellows is that the Music Box bowling alley was in a building the Odd Fellows had built for their meetings; they must have either outgrown the building, or sold it in the late 1930s, because Harry Taylor bought it then or sometime in the 1940's. The cornerstone was prominently placed on the corner of the building, at 19th and Capitol. I spent many years at the Music Box as I was growing up, and every time I went around the corner to climb the hill to the back entrance, I saw that cornerstone. My mother bowled in afternoon leagues there, and I started bowling early.

For their meetings, the Odd Fellows dressed up in faux-ermine robes and velvet tunics studded with crystals. It must have been a real spectacle, though rather odd to see back in the 1920s and 1930s. I've included some photos of the costumes, below the Odd Fellow monument.
